Answer

PrEP may be right for you if you are HIV-negative and looking for a medically supervised way to stay on top of your sexual health. Before starting, your doctor will assess whether PrEP is suitable for you based on your HIV test results, kidney function, STI screening and overall health.

Starting PrEP is not just about getting a script. It also involves regular check-ins, repeat HIV and STI testing, and monitoring your kidney health to make sure the medication remains safe and appropriate for you over time.

If your results show that PrEP is not suitable for you, or if HIV is detected, your Hey Fella doctor will talk you through the next steps and help connect you with the right care, treatment and support.
